A light and airy basement conversion
Located in the Bayswater Conservation Area a short walk from Hyde Park, this basement flat required extensive structural and refurbishment work, including: the removal of a structural pillar; a rear extension with a glass roof; a timber-decked patio area; an office; and a contemporary kitchen and bathrooms. We modified the interior layout to improve accessibility and increased the amount of natural light by installing large sliding doors throughout the property. We also carried out extensive ventilation and acoustic works, installed new high efficiency central heating, a damp proof membrane and tanking system to reduce energy consumption and create a comfortable living space.
