The conversion of this tiny 40m2 studio flat into a high-spec one bedroom flat, required an extensive refurbishment and structural modification. We transformed an awkward dark original layout arrangement, into a light, airy and sophisticated urban apartment. Since the client was a buy-to-let property investor, the project had to maximise their rental yield in a high value urban area, as well as achieving the future users’ needs, expected to be mainly young professional with high expectation for quality and comfort.
A frameless glass wall created integration, yet private visual privacy between the bedroom and the living area, with fun and delightful result for future users. The new layout also helps to bring natural light deep into the space with flexible and contemporary valuable extra net internal area.
